Coil and Cable Heaters are small diameter, high-performance units, fully annealed and readily bent to a multitude of configurations. The cable heater can be formed into a compact, coiled nozzle heater supplying a full 360 degrees of heat with optional distributed wattage. A straight cable heater can snake through an equipment application. Flat spiral configurations can be used in high-tech manufacturing while a star wound cable can be used for air and gas heating. Different applications require different construction methods.

Coil Heaters
Coil Heaters are used in operations involving heating of cylindrical-shaped surfaces for temperatures up to 1800°F (982°C) where precise temperature control is essential. The design incorporates a built-in thermocouple, with a grounded junction terminating at the end of the cable opposite to the lead end. The built-in thermocouple and the overall low mass construction provide quick response for positive temperature control.
Cable Heaters
Bulk Round Heater Cable can be formed into many configurations, making it suitable for many applications including its extensive use in heat tracing. The heat source is a resistance wire in straight or coiled form. A swaging and drawing process compacts the ceramic insulators that house the heating element into a solid mass, producing a rugged and durable heater cable with excellent thermal conductivity and dielectric strength.
Minimum bending radius for all mineral insulated cable heaters is two times the sheath diameter.
